A conference “New Personnel for the New Power Industry” is held in Irkutsk on December 11 and 12, 2013
On December 11 and 12, 2013, OJSC Irkutskenergo, the Interregional Sectoral Association of Employers in the Energy Industry (MOORE), the National Research Irkutsk State Technical University (ISTU) and Melentiev Energy Systems Institute of Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ESI SB RAS) will hold an international conference “New Personnel for the New Power Industry”.
The conference will be opened by Alexander Afanasyev, acting Rector of ISTU, and Evgeny Filsh, Deputy CEO for Finance and Economy of OJSC Irkutskenergo. Round-table discussions will be moderated by Vladimir Zuykov, Ph.D. in Engineering, head of the research and information center of the Siberian Energy Association for monitoring the situation with personnel in electricity companies of the Siberian Federal District and director of the Novosibirsk branch of St. Petersburg Power Engineering Institute of Professional Development (PEIPK); Vladimir Kornev, HR Director of OJSC Irkutskenergo, and Vadim Fedchishin, dean of the power engineering faculty of ISTU.
Oleg Prichko, CEO of OJSC Irkutskenergo: “Participants of the conference “New Personnel for the New Power Industry” will consider effective solutions for providing energy companies with qualified personnel, issues of improving the quality of student training at power engineering faculties given the impact of the demographic crisis that will be felt soon and the fact that work on the periphery is becoming less attractive. They will also share their experience in implementing programs aimed at helping graduates of vocational schools and universities to adapt to working for Russian and foreign energy companies.”
