EuroSibEnergo Group acquires a new energy asset in Nizhny Novgorod
EuroSibEnergo has acquired LLC Teploseti (Nizhny Novgorod). Thus, the VolgaEnergo Group forming part of EuroSibEnergo has started managing the company which has a right to a long-term lease on municipal property. This includes 29 heat pump units supplying hot water to Avtozavodsky district; 13 central heating points in Leninsky district, about 600 kilometers of networks (heating and water pipelines). The headcount at LLC Teploseti is over 500 people.
As EuroSibEnergo’s specialists have estimated based on the technical audit, municipal networks are in a relatively good condition; however, there are certain problems related to the heating networks in the district as a whole. In the near future, it is planned to estimate the amount of investments required for the reconstruction and upgrades of the acquired facilities as part of the integrated heating system, which is being created in Nizhny Novgorod.
Evgeny Fedorov, CEO of OJSC EuroSibEnergo: “This transaction is the final stage in forming a system for uninterrupted and reliable heat and hot water supply to the consumers in Avtozavodsky and Leninsky districts of Nizhny Novgorod. Not only does this form an integrated energy system which includes heat and electricity generation, its distribution and sale, but also makes the project socially oriented. This is of special importance, as the project on the reconstruction of the Avtozavodskaya CHPP has been launched; it is to become the Group’s main project in 2013. Its implementation will enable to increase electricity generating capacity of the CHPP to 880 MW, while its heat generating capacity will exceed 2,500 Gcal/h. An increase in capacity will enable us to satisfy the growing demand for electricity and heat in Nizhny Novgorod.”
