A maximum electricity output is recorded at OJSC Irkutskenergo’s CHPPs on December 29, 2012

On December 29, 2012, electricity output at OJSC Irkutskenergo’s CHPPs totaled 2,237 mln kWh, reaching a historical maximum. Overall, in December 2012 electricity output is expected to reach 2,424 mln kWh; last time, the record level was achieved in December 1982, when the output amounted to 2,224 mln kWh. The current autumn and winter heating season in the Company is characterized by a low water level at the HPPs of the Yenisei cascade and high electricity consumption. Handling a heavy load throughout the month proves that the CHPP equipment is highly reliable and the operational and maintenance personnel are highly qualified. We would also like to remind that on December 21 the power output of the Company’s CHPPs reached an all-time high of 3,704 MW.
