Specialists of OAO Irkutskenergo Repaired Fault in Irkutsk Heating Grids December 21, 2010
By 12:00 (local time) of December 21, 2010, specialists of OAO Irkutskenergo repaired faults in heating grid and started works on setting operating parameters.
By 12:00 (local time) of December 21, 2010, specialists of OAO Irkutskenergo repaired faults in heating grid and started works on setting operating parameters to the heating grid. The accident occurred in December 20, 2010 at 10:20 AM (local time) at the primary heating grids of the 5th main pipe located at Karla Libknekhta Street (near streets Dzerzhinskogo and Yamskaya) of Irkutsk. The locations of faults were found by 11:30 AM on December 20, 2010. The specialists immediately started works on containment of the damaged section, working closely with urban services and managing companies. By 3 AM on December 21, 2010 the normal heat supply was restored in 190 facilities out of 255, where previously the heat supply had been limited. At 1PM on December 21, 2010 the works on restoration of heat supply to the remaining consumers started. The reason of accident was preliminarily decided to be external corrosion of the supplying pipeline of the heating grid.

We would like to thank the administration of Irkutsk and management companies for the prompt assistance in containment and repair, workers of Vodokanal and OAO Irkutskenergo who promptly contained and liquidated the fault in operation of heating grids of Irkutsk.
